Hump Day!

  Vs

They both are known by intials, Jt and Jgl.

They both are musical. Great voices.

I love their acting, I will say for sure Jgl is one of my favorite actors of all time, and here's a little fun fact: JGL is my Henri for Perfectly Hopeless

My favorite movie by Justin would have to be In Time, and as for Jgl, I would say Looper or Inception.

Best song that rocks my socks right now by Jt is Mirrors.

And have you seen the New Years clip from Jgl?

Wednesday is hump day, so in honor of the day I picked two of my faves to face off.

So....if you had to choose, who do you think wins this battle?

And don't forget to enter the giveaway for Ink 3!
If you haven't read any of the Ink series this giveaway is for you, you can win them all!

Sunday Sample

I have decided to designate Sunday for excerpts from the books that I am working on. So if your curious about what I am writing here is a sneak peek. Enjoy and always feel free to let me know what you think here on the blog, twitter, Facebook or my new website.

The project I am currently working on is a story about a girl sent to rehab. She is going through a lot and has lost her best friend. Without giving away a bunch I will share that she is the cause of her best friends death. The book is an adult romance. And so far I am really liking where it is going. I hope everyone else does as well.

So here you go:

She stood in front of him her heart pounding in her chest. She didn't know why the thought of touching him was making her so tense, but it was.
“I can’t promise anything. And you can’t sue me,” she said, staring at his dark head of hair. The kind of hair that belonged to someone famous, the kind of hair you slipped your fingers through and tugged here and there.
She dropped her spray bottle.
“Somebody’s clumsy today,” Hart said a big grin on his face. His dark eyebrows rose in amusement, he kept his eyes on her as she tried to convince herself to touch him.
“I’m fine. Let’s get this over with.” She came a bit closer, he smelled amazing. And the way he was staring at her with those eyes, those brilliant eyes of blue, rimmed with dark lashes.
She ran her fingers through the front of his hair, brushing it back on his head. “What do you want?”
Hart was silent.
Elle tilted her head to the side. “Hello?”
“Sorry.” He blinked. “Do whatever you want to me. I’m sure you’ll make me look great.”
Elle bit her lip, spraying him with the spray bottle. She started to work, combing and cutting. Trying to remember everything that she had learned in hopes she didn't butcher him.
“Got any plans tonight?” Hart asked, he stayed still, letting her try her best.
“I plan on going home and eating some of my mom’s famous spaghetti and meatballs and then probably going to bed,” she told him. She spun the chair.
“Sounds like a blast,” he said. “You’re never going to give in are you?”
“Probably not.” She looked over his hair, taking him by the chin to turn him the way she needed to get a better look. The scruff on his chin tickled her finger tips, his teeth grazed his bottom lip drawing her eyes to his mouth. He had an amazing set of lips.
“For once just be honest. Am I just not the kind of person you want to be associated with? Is it the rehab thing?” he asked.
Elle shook her head quickly. “No. Hart, it has nothing to do with that, it’s just me. I can’t hang out with you. It’s not a good idea.”
She was with Pauly and in a bad place in her life. She wasn't the girl to be anyone’s friend. She had a hard time being friends with the ones in her life already.
He wasn't saying anything. And now she felt even worse.
“Alright, I’ll be honest. I’m not doing okay. I've never been okay and all I want to do is make it through without another emotional breakdown. I can’t add anything to my life because I’m afraid it will crumble. And the idea of going back to that place I was in scares the shit out of me,” she said.
She dropped her scissors and comb on her station. “Anyways, I think you’re good to go.”
Hart took the mirror she was offering, but didn't look in it. “Looks great.”
“You didn't even look,” she said.
“I don’t care about my hair.”
She rolled her eyes undoing the collar of the cape. “Don’t do that, don’t worry about me. You did the same thing a long time ago.”
“Someone needs to worry about you. One time, just come hang out with me. And after that I’ll leave you alone,” he said. “If I make your life worse than it already is I’ll never bother you again.”
“Why are you so insistent on doing this?” She shook her head. “I’m a mess; you know this better than anyone.”
“So am I,” he insisted. “One time, come be a mess with me.”
“Fine,” she tossed the cape on her station. “One time. You’ll see how much of a mess I am and you’ll quickly go running for the hills.”
She hoped she didn't regret the choice she made. Because making choices was the hardest thing anymore.

Have a great Sunday!!

Sneak peek Wednesday

Looking for another peek at the newest project I am working on? Well, have no fear! I have brought some more for everyone to enjoy. Leave your thoughts, share with the world, it all makes me smile. Hope everyone enjoys! And most importantly have a beautiful day!!

Peek #2

I dropped the dish rag into the kitchen sink and gave one last look at Dad; I would have to pry the information out of him when he came inside. I plopped down on the couch. My eyes settled on the television. I had no clue where Hunter had put the remote, so I watched the commercial.
My older brother, Austin pulled the lever at the side of the recliner. He scratched his head staring across the room confused.
“It’s Wednesday. Eight thirty,” I said, dropping my head against the sofa.
Austin rummaged for his cell phone on the end table, his hand knocked over the three newspapers and an old bottle of soda from one of the fast food restaurants he ate at on a regular basis.
I watched him fail at finding his phone before I retrieved it from the kitchen counter where I placed it. I handed it over.
“Thanks, you’re a lifesaver.” Austin lit a cigarette, those he could always find. He sifted through his phone searching for anything useful, anything that gave him a reason to get off the recliner and do something—which hardly ever happened. He was depressed and troubled, as Dad put it.
“I think Dad is going to be late tonight.” I stared out the window at the sherriff and Dad as they continued to talk. “I wonder what happened now.”
Austin exhaled. “The same thing that always happens. Someone got really fucking mad and now someone else is dead.”
I wasn’t sure if anger had anything to do with it. I wasn’t certain it always had to be anger. I didn’t know why people killed people, but it happened all the time. Our dad’s endless job was proof of that.
“I guess you’re making dinner,” Austin said, letting out an amused laugh. “What a life for such a young girl to lead.”
I rolled my eyes. I was young but not stupid. “I like my life thank you.”
“You’re telling me you enjoy taking care of a house, and your messed up family?” Austin pulled the lever on the recliner ending our conversation.
“About as much as you enjoy drinking and drugging yourself to death,” I said. “At least I am going somewhere with my life.”
Austin was still. His big feet dangled over the end of the recliner. I wanted to wrench one of his toes backwards and leave him writhing in pain. I hated when he tried to make me feel bad.
“Of course, we all know you’ll be back in school in no time,” Austin laughed.......

Trayvon Martin

I usually do not jump into big news stories like this. But this has disturbed me. On my Facebook someone posted a youtube 911 call about this boy. And it was heartbreaking. If anyone is sensitive to this kind of stuff then don't click on the link, but if you want to get a glimpse at what kind of senseless things happen in the world then do so.

He was a kid, someone's son. And from what I understand a man shot him because he was walking in a neighborhood. They said he had no weapons, just skittles and a drink. And that the man called and reported him to the police. Here is one of the articles.

The part that breaks my heart is the fact you can hear this boy on the 911 call screaming "No" and "Help" time and time again. The woman on the phone its obvious is scared to death to do anything more then call 911 to help him. But sadly that was to late and he was shot and killed.
I can't imagine, I can't even form words to get my point across of how horrible it is.

I guess what I just want to say is my prayers are with Trayvon Martin's family because nobody deserves to lose a loved one. Especially if they have done nothing wrong and for something so senseless.

This man who shot him could have allowed the police to do their job and this kid would still be alive. And now a mother and family is without him.

I don't know why this Zimmerman felt it right to shoot a kid, they say he said self defense, but listening to that 911 call I think that is just a lie and seeing this is my blog I will just say I think Zimmerman is a monster. And anyone who doesn't agree with me, that's okay. Maybe you should listen to this 911 call and try to make another excuse on why this kid deserved to be shot. Or maybe you should put yourself in the shoes of the family and victim. Because all I feel right now is sadness.

Its obvious I did not say one thing about race here. And that's simple, I wouldn't care more or less because of the color of this kids skin. I care because he was a kid, a person, a human. And the other person was wrong for doing what he did.

Ellen Degeneres always tells us to be kind to one another, but it doesn't seem many people in the world are doing such a simple thing.

And lastly if you want to make a change. You can go to Change.org and sign the petition to help this family. And get some justice for Trayvon Martin.
